 This program allows you to follow an live LFS race without being connected to the host. Latest Version: 0.2 [ Download here ] Race Specator Manual

Some screenshots and explaination what information each window contains: Server List
 This is where you choose the server that you would like to spectate. You can sort the servers by name, connections, track, or if the server is private or not by clicking the appropriate buttons at the top. When you have chosen the server you would like to spectate, click "Connect". Click "Refresh List" to get a new listing of servers connected to the LFS Relay. If a server that you want to spectate is private, you need to enter the Spectator Password in the textbox before clicking "Connect".
Chat Log
 The Chat Log records all chat conversations that occur on the server that you are spectating. If you want to clear the Chat Log, click the "Clear" button to do so.
Racer Info
 This dialog shows details of individual racers during the race. Racer List This listing is of every racer on the server. When you click on one, the rest of the dialog box fills in with that racers information
Splittimes/Laptimes This section details the spectating racers split and laptimes during a race or qualification. It will show the racer's last splittimes and laptimes, and their best splittimes and laptimes. If their split/laptime is slower than their current best split/laptime, a minus sign will be shown in front of the split/laptime If their split/laptime is faster than their current best split/laptime, a plus sign will be shown in front of the split/laptime
Other Information Race Position: The position of the racer in the race, or his current qualifing position. Laps Done: The amount of laps done by the racer in the race, or in a qualification. Last Pitstop Lap: The lap on which the racer came into the pits for a pitstop, not including penalties. Speed: The current speed of the racer on the track. Total Time: Penalty: If a penalty has been given to a racer, it will be listed here.
Tires The current tires equipped on the racer's car.
Pitstop Information Information detailing the pitstop that a racer has made.
Lap number and total time of race the pitstop was made. Refuel: Did the racer refuel? Tires: Did the racer change any tires, or fix any damage? Body Work: Did the racer fix any body work?
Track Overview
 The Track Overview window shows the current positions of all of the racers that are on track. As you notice, there are a number of items shown on this window, including flags, names and track information.
Track: Current track in it's LFS code Weather: Current weather being used in race Wind: Current wind speed being used in race Mandatory Pitstop: Shown when a pitstop is needed during a race; when no pitstop is needed, this will not be shown. A green flag with the text Race/Qualifying indicates that the race is underway A red flag with the text Race indicates that the server is at the entry screen awaiting the racers to start a new race. Current amount of laps needed to be completed Leader: Lap number the leader has completed Flags There are a number of flags that may appear beside a racer on the Track Overview window.
A yellow flag next to a racer's name indicates that that racer is showing a yellow flag to other cars on the track. A blue flag next to a racer's name indicates that that racer is being shown a blue flag by a faster/leader car behind it.
 A red square below the racer's name indicates that the racer is making a pitstop.
 A gas can below the racer's name indicates that that racer is driving through the pitlane.

Overall Results
 This window shows information about the racers that are currently participating the race, qualification, or practice. Position Nickname Best Split 1 Best Split 2 (if needed) Best Split 3 (if needed) Best Lap Car Lap Pit Done Laps Done
Admin Control
 The admin control panel allows you to have some control over the server that you are spectating, as long as you have input the admin password in the textbox provided in the server list window when connecting. Control Qualification: specify the duration of a qualification here Qualify, Restart, End: These buttons influence the type of racing on the server Kick, Ban: The buttons, along with choosing a racer from the list to the left, will either kick them or ban them from the server for 1 day Drive Through, Stop & Go, Add 30 Sec, Add 45 Sec, Clear Penalty: These buttons, along with choosing a racer from the list to the left, will give that racer the penalty described on the button Add Chat Message: Input a chat message in the text box and click Send to send a regular chat message from the host to all the racers connected to the server Race Control Message: Input text in the text box and that text will be displayed in the middle of the screen to all racers connected to the server
Team Results
 This window details information associated to the teams that are entered into the options window. This information is cumulative for all of the racers that are a part of that team. Team Laps Done Best 1st Split Best 2nd Split (if needed) Best 3rd Split (if needed) Total Time
Options
 Relay Server Settings Relay Host: IP address of the LFS relay host - default: lfs.net Relay Port: Server port to the LFS relay host - default: 47474 Connect to relay when starting: Enable this to automatically refresh the server list when Race Spectator is started. Other Configurations Main window always on top: This makes the main window stay on top of all other windows applications that are open. Speed in km/h: Enable this to show speeds in km/h; when disabled, speeds are shown in mph. Enable Team Settings: Enabling this shows the team setup of the options dialog box. Update Grid (Milliseconds): This is how often the Team and Overall Results windows refresh. Startup Windows: When starting Race Spectator, these windows will automatically appear when enabled. Server List Chat Log Track View Racer Info Overall Results Team Results Admin Control Update Clicking the "Check for Updates" button will make RS check to see if it is the current version. If it is not, RS will prompt you asking if you want to download the newest version.
If the "Check at startup" checkbox is enabled, RS will do this for you everytime you start it.
Team Setup This section allows you to configure teams in RS. Clicking on the"Add Team" button after filling in the textbox below it adds a team to RS for it to track. While your team is selected, the next group is where you define your teammates. Fill in the textbox, then click the "Add Teammember" button to add them to your team.
